Cookie Policy
Last updated
This policy explains how fintrix.so uses cookies and similar browser storage, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
The short version
- By default, this website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- Our fonts and scripts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send requests to other companies.
- If we enable analytics, it will load only after you opt in through the cookie banner. Choosing "Necessary only", or browsing with Global Privacy Control switched on, means nothing optional loads.
- We save a few small items in your browser's
localStorageso the site remembers your cookie choice, that you have subscribed to our newsletter, and which roles you have applied for. These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, let a website save small pieces of information on your device in the same way. In this policy, we use "cookies" to mean all of these.
Cookies are either strictly necessary, which means the website needs them to work or to do something you asked for, or optional, such as analytics. Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent. Optional cookies do.
What we use
Necessary and functional storage
These items are saved in your browser's localStorage. They are not cookies, they are only created when you use the related feature, and they are never sent to our servers or to anyone else. We do not need your consent for them because each one is needed to provide something you have asked for.
| Name / key | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fintrix-consent |
Remembers your cookie choice ("Accept analytics" or "Necessary only"), the version of the consent notice you saw, and when you made your choice, so the banner does not reappear on every page | Strictly necessary. First-party localStorage |
Until you clear your browser storage. We ask you again after 12 months, or sooner if we change what we use |
fintrix-newsletter |
Remembers that this browser has subscribed to our newsletter (a simple yes flag; no email address is stored), so the sign-up form shows that you are already subscribed instead of asking again | Functional. First-party localStorage. Created only when you subscribe |
Until you clear your browser storage. Unsubscribing from emails does not remove it, so clear it if you want the form to reappear |
fintrix-applied-roles |
Remembers which roles you have applied for from this browser, so the Careers page can show that you have already applied | Functional. First-party localStorage. Created only when you submit an application |
Until you clear your browser storage |
fintrix-consent contains no personal information, just your choice, a version number and a timestamp. fintrix-newsletter holds only a yes flag, and fintrix-applied-roles holds only role identifiers. Neither contains your name or email address.
The contact form does not store anything in your browser. If your browser submits the contact form or the job application form without JavaScript, you will briefly see a confirmation page hosted by our form processor. That page is covered by the processor's own cookie policy.
WhatsApp links
The "Chat on WhatsApp" links on this site are plain links. They do not load anything from WhatsApp or Meta until you click one. After you click, WhatsApp's own website or app opens and its cookie and privacy policies apply.
Analytics cookies
We do not currently use any analytics cookies or analytics tools.
If we decide to use analytics in future, we will prefer a privacy-friendly provider. Before it goes live, we will update this section with the provider's name and a table of each cookie it sets, its purpose and its duration. Analytics will only ever load after you choose "Accept analytics".
Advertising and social media cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or social media tracking. Our share links are plain links, not embedded buttons, so they do not load anything from social networks until you click them.
How consent works
When analytics is enabled on the website, a small cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen on your first visit. It never blocks the page. It offers two choices with equal weight:
- Accept analytics: we load the analytics tool described above.
- Necessary only: we load nothing optional.
Nothing optional is loaded before you choose, and no options are pre-selected. If you ignore the banner, we treat that as "Necessary only".
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as "Necessary only". We will not show you the banner and we will not load analytics.
If analytics is not enabled, as is currently the case, there is nothing optional to consent to, so the banner is not shown.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
- Cookie settings link. Select "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and choose again. This link appears whenever the cookie banner is active on the site.
- Withdrawing consent. If you switch from "Accept analytics" to "Necessary only", we stop loading analytics, delete the analytics cookies we know about from our own domain, and reload the page.
- Clearing storage. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data for fintrix.so removes everything listed above: your saved cookie choice (we will ask you again on your next visit), your newsletter status and your list of applied roles.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data, including localStorage. Blocking it will not stop the website from working: if we cannot save your cookie choice, we treat it as "Necessary only", and the newsletter and Careers pages simply will not remember your earlier sign-up or applications.
Your browser's help pages explain how to manage these settings:
To send a Global Privacy Control signal, use a browser or extension that supports it. You can find a list at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we store in your browser, for example by enabling analytics, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date before the change goes live. Where the change needs your consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
