About Fintrix

Engineers who care how the business runs

Fintrix is an IT services company for mid-market companies and scaling startups. We build and run the software, cloud platforms and integrations that keep operations moving, and we explain every decision in plain language.

Our story

We started Fintrix to fix the handoffs

Too many companies were paying for software that didn't fit together. Orders were re-keyed between systems. Releases waited months. Each vendor blamed the next one in the chain, and the people running the business were left holding spreadsheets to bridge the gaps.

We founded Fintrix to be the team that owns the whole problem. Designers, engineers, and cloud and integration specialists working in one team, accountable for outcomes rather than hours. We stay close to the people who use what we build, and we measure success in things they notice.

We are deliberately senior and deliberately small enough that you know everyone on your project. We write things down, demo every week and hand over cleanly. When the right answer is "you don't need us for this", we say so.

Our mission

Build software that removes busywork, so the people in your business can spend their time on the work only they can do.

Principles

How we behave when nobody is watching

  • Outcomes over output

We measure ourselves by what changed in your business: hours saved, releases shipped, errors avoided. Lines of code and hours billed are not the point.

  • Say it plainly

No jargon, no hedging, no surprises in the invoice. If a plan is risky or a deadline is unrealistic, you hear it from us early and in writing.

  • Leave it better than we found it

Every engagement should leave your team more capable: cleaner code, clearer documentation and practices that keep working after we have moved on.

  • Small steps, shipped often

We prefer ten small releases to one big launch. Small changes are easier to test, easier to reverse and much quicker to learn from.

  • Security is part of the job

Least privilege, secrets in a vault and logged access are defaults on every project, not extras we add when an audit is coming up.

  • Write it down

Decisions, tradeoffs and assumptions are recorded where everyone can read them. Written context outlives meetings, and it makes handover simple when the time comes.

How we work

A delivery rhythm you can plan around

The same five stages and four rituals on every engagement, so you always know what happens next.

  1. 01 / 05

    Discover

We interview stakeholders and users, review existing systems and data, and agree what success looks like in numbers.

You get: a costed, phased roadmap

  2. 02 / 05

    Design

We prototype the key flows, test them with real users, and sketch the architecture and integrations before anyone writes production code.

You get: a tested clickable prototype

  3. 03 / 05

    Build

Weekly sprints with a live demo every week. Automated tests, code review and security checks run on every change.

You get: working software every week

  4. 04 / 05

    Launch

Staged rollout with monitoring, alerts and a rollback plan in place. We train your team and stay close for the first weeks.

You get: a calm, reversible go-live

  5. 05 / 05

    Run & evolve

We support, measure and improve what we shipped, or hand it over to your team with runbooks and paired sessions.

You get: a system your team can own

Rituals

  • Weekly demo

Working software shown every week, never just slides

  • Shared backlog

One board you can read, comment on and reprioritize

  • Written decisions

Short decision records for every significant choice

  • Monthly steering

Progress, budget and risks reviewed with your leadership

Leadership

Who is accountable for your project

  • Managing Director

Owns client relationships and commercial terms, and is your escalation point if anything about an engagement isn't working.

  • Head of Engineering

Owns engineering standards, code quality and technical hiring, and reviews the architecture on every engagement.

  • Head of Cloud & Integration

Owns infrastructure, security and integration practices, from landing zones and pipelines to on-call and incident reviews.

  • Head of Delivery

Owns delivery process, planning and reporting, and makes sure every team demos weekly and hands over cleanly.

  • Where and when we work

Every engagement gets at least four hours of daily overlap with your working day, agreed in writing before we start.

  • Want to build things that matter?

We hire engineers, designers and delivery leads who like solving real problems and explaining them clearly.
